Why I finally set up a personal site, and what I plan to do with it.
I’ve been meaning to do this for years. I wanted a small corner of the internet that’s actually mine, not a profile on someone else’s platform or yet another feed. Just a site with posts that I control.
So here it is.
Why bother in 2026?
Most of what I read these days lives inside apps. That’s fine, but I miss the older idea of a personal site. It loads fast, it’s quiet, and nothing on the page is trying to measure my attention. I wanted that back.
What I’ll write about
A mix. Some of it will be technical, like things I’m building or problems I’ve worked through. Some of it will just be whatever I’ve been thinking about lately. I’d rather not box myself into one topic.
